On Location Shoot with the Dawson Family

It was an early start for this fabulous location photography session just outside of York. But you know what they say about the early bird…they get the best pictures..right?

I’ve known the Dawson family a while now and have had the privilege of photographing a variety of occasions for them and they’ve all been a right laugh because they’re such nice folks.

Todays shoot was a family shoot which included a whole generation of family members, including their doggy.

It really doesn’t take much time to create and capture a whole variety of shots from even a large shoot like this. The whole shoot probably took about 2 hours and we went to town with the variety and the variation of different pictures.

We started in their lovely green leafy back garden for some full group shots and I always try my best to make it as fun as possible to loosen everyone up a bit and get them in the mood. Once we were happy with these we photographed all the respective families separately and then headed inside to avoid the rain and capture some lovely images of the kids together and individually.

As the time ticked by everyone was relaxing into it and all the expressions were looking really happy and comfortable on camera. With such a great selection of images in the bag there was a special request by the lads for a few pics with their gorgeous little dog, which naturally I was happy to capture and doggy didn’t seem to mind, I think he just wanted to get in on the action, I think he was feeling a little left out bless him.

Thanks guys, look forward to seeing you again soon.

Best wishes, Ben
