Firstly, what a lovely, warm and friendly couple just really nice amazing people. From all our conversations to our meet up a few weeks before their wedding day it was just a pleasure to be in their company.

As with most of the weddings I’ve been lucky enough to capture, all the details are meticulously thought out and considered. The timings and organisation that has gone into this one moment has been planned months and months in advance.

But, sometimes there are things that we just cannot control. All I’m going to say is that they both had a lot of adversity up until the night before their wedding day and what was going to happen on the day itself seemed to be changing by the hour. Both Laura and Alex showed a lot of strength of character and the emotion was clear to see during the ceremonies (yes, there was more than one ceremony).

I have to say though it turned out to be an absolute corker of a day. The sun was shining, it was warm, all the guests had a blast, the speeches were lovely, the music was ace and most importantly Laura and Alex could finally relax and enjoy the time with their loved ones. It’s easy to overlook sometimes what is important on your wedding day. Thankfully the stars aligned and I’m so happy for them it did. They deserved an amazing wedding day and that’s just what it turned out to be!
