Winter Weddings……..

December 11, 2022

With the changing of the seasons it’s time to embrace the winter weddings!

There used to be a well defined wedding season, which were the summer months. These days, the ‘season’ as it were is year round. Sure, it’s certainly busier in the summer months but the winter months have so much to offer as well.

Firstly, there is less stress regarding the weather since they typically take place inside. The risk of rain and wind can make the planning period extremely stressful.

Another advantage is the availability of venues. Most locations and suppliers book up quickly during the summer months and come with a hefty price tag, whereas those same locations and suppliers are available for less during the colder months (except photographers!). Because the winter months aren’t as busy as others, they’ll also be able to focus more of their attention on your big day, the summer months are tough for venue owners as they’re juggling so many events, brides, families, suppliers and logistics. You’ll have more flexibility to come in and set up early or break down late, as there’s likely not another event right after yours that the venue needs to prep for right away.

Free decorations can be added to the list as venues have xmas decorations up in November these days. Which means lots of fairy lights and trees and borbells and colourful backdrops.

And lastly, if you’re really lucky it could be a white wedding! The snow variety, which means an obvious choice for your first dance song!
