Victoria & Andrew’s Wedding at the Craven Arms, Appletreewick

What a belter this wedding day was!

A North Yorkshire extravaganza! Taking in the wonderful sights of Knaresborough and the Yorkshire dales, where I spend loads of time and love!

The day started at our bride and grooms house. A wonderful little spot with tiered gardens leading up and up until your overlooking the river and most of Knaresborough.

On arrival all the ladies were super chilled and managing to keep pretty calm whilst hair and make up got finished. One by one the bridesmaids appeared downstairs all looking amazing. Next to appear was Victoria looking the epitome of elegance in her beautiful wedding dress and long flowing veil. After a few pictures outside their home it was now time for the very quick drive over to the church, also in Knaresborough.

I actually made a point of visiting their church the week before with my daughter as I’d walked past it so many times but had never been inside. It’s a lovely old church quite large and spacious which is great to move around in when you’re taking lots of lovely pictures during the ceremony. I also think it’s the first wedding I’ve shot to have their dog as a ring bearer! Their big poodle Louie! He did an awesome job and delivered the ring without a hitch, I think a few doggie treats might of helped!

We decided to capture the group shots outside and we were able to get a good range of shots in and around the church. The highlight, was of cause venturing over to Knaresborough castle and the hill that over looks the river and the railway bridge. Just so pretty and the perfect location for our couple shots. It always brings such big smiles to faces when perfect strangers walk up to our newly weds to congratulate them and compliment the bride on how incredible she looks, very heart warming.

With the clock ticking away it was now time for our final location, The  Craven Arms in Appletreewick, a lovely little village nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

I managed to arrive just before Victoria and Andrew whom were greeted on arrival with a glass of fizz and a big smile from the landlord. The Craven Arms boasts incredible views and the building itself was covered with a bright red Virginia Creeper growing all around the doors. So many photo opportunities the possibilities were endless! But in the end the smell of delicious food was just too tempting! That and the fact the chef would not of been happy if we were too much longer!

Such a lovely cosy place for an amazing couple to see the night in with dancing and drinks.

Thank you so much Victoria and Andrew and I wish you all the best in the future.
