Carol & Nadia’s Wedding Day at The Hospitium York
As weddings go this one was pretty special!
Not only did our happy couple have to postpone, they had to limit the amount of guests and make a bunch of compromises. The only thing that wasn’t compromised was just how beautiful the occasion would be and how happy they both were going to be!
Carol and Nadia found my details through their venue, The Hospitium. One of the many benefits of being on the Hospitiums recommended supplier list is that I get to shoot at such an amazing venue in a stunning location regularly. Carol and Nadia would definitely agree on the beauty that the Hospitium, museum gardens and the city of York has to offer. They’ve visited York many times and had it in their hearts to eventually marry in these beautiful surroundings.
Carol and Nadia had booked their wedding day with the Hospitium back in 2019, but like many couples had no idea the challenges that were on the horizon when trying to organise their special day. There were definitely ups and downs along the way but their resilience and determination shone through in the end!
We really struck it lucky with a fabulous day of sunshine as well and made the most of the warm weather. After a touching and intimate ceremony with an atmospheric musical accompaniment thanks to the harmony string quartet. We chose a lovely leafy little backdrop for our group shots and then had a good walk around the museum gardens. There are so many great spots to shoot in the gardens and some great light to be found as it pierces through the trees. We even managed a little stroll to the Minster which was one of the places Carol and Nadia wished to have some photographs taken. I love a visit to the Minster and it never fails to impress even though I’ve seen it a thousand times.
Congratulations ladies and thank you!
