Felipa & Pedro Wedding Photography

This amazing wedding had everything! Guests from around the world…check, Childhood sweetheart couple…check, stunning venue…check. I could go on but you get the picture.

Such a lovely day from beginning to end. With the preparation shots taking place at the bride and grooms home with their lovely family that had made the long journey all the way from Madeira. We had the perfect amount of time to capture the beginning of their lovely wedding day. A nice and relaxed morning capturing some lovely window lit shots of Felipa with her Mum, her dad and her sister. Lots of emotion and excitement in anticipation of the days events.

The fabulous Hospitium in the museum gardens was Felipa and Pedro’s excellent choice of venue. Always such a great place to get married. Amazing historic building surrounded by lush, leafy gardens and excellent staff and delicious catering.

There were so many personalised touches to the day that it’s difficult to know where to start. The ceremony itself had a lovely beginning to it with firstly the groom being accompanied down the isle by both mothers and then the bride with both fathers. Felipa looked stunning in a beautiful, shimmering backless dress and they both looked so happy to be stood with each other and to be marrying each other. They have after all known each other most of their lives having grown up together as friends on the Portuguese island of Madeira.

Part of the evenings events was a great alternative to a throwing of the flowers. But, not before a ‘Mr’ and ‘Mrs’ game with Felipa and Pedro sat back to back in the middle of the dance floor answering questions about each other. Such as who’s messier? and, who spends more time on their phone?…we all know the answer to that right?… It’s always the women (just kidding ladies….sort of). So the alternative to the throwing of the flowers was the bride encircled by the girls in the room all attached to the flowers by ribbons coming off the brides bouquet. As the ladies walk around and around, Felipa cuts the ribbons randomly one by one with a pair of scissors held overhead….I should mention that she’s doing this while blind folded! last girl standing gets the bouquet! It was a right laugh!!

A fantastic couple and such a privilege to be able to capture for them both.

A huge Congratulations to you both.

Best wishes Ben x
