What a day! The sun, the venue, the couple, it all looked stunning.

I first met Kylie and Paul quite some time ago at a wedding fayre. I remember having quite a long chat with them about their day and their plans and we talked about all sorts. Afterwards they went to have a look around the rest of the fayre but came back later on to make further enquiries regarding their wedding photography. They later said that they had spoken to all the wedding photographers at the event but wanted to book myself. Naturally, I was delighted as there is always an abundance of photographers at wedding fayres so it’s always such a privilege to hear.

On the day of the wedding I arrived at the venue with the groomsmen at the entrance greeting early arriving guests and immediately we were laughing and joking around and this was really how the whole day was, relaxed and fun.

After spending some time with the groomsmen shooting some lovely images in the gardens of Sandburn hall which had been beautifully decorated with stunning florals the place looked incredible! It was then time to wait for the bride to arrive at the venue. Kylie seemed to float into the venue and looked amazing as did her bridesmaids and the little flower girls looked adorable holding their little signs ‘Uncle Paul, here comes your bride’, so cute.

It’s always so nice to have a ceremony outdoors which doesn’t happen very often due to our unpredictable weather but when it does it looks so magical. With such incredible florals around the outdoor structure where the ceremony took place we decided to do all the group shots there as well. Afterwards the flowers got moved to the grand hall room where the reception was being held and they made a great backdrop behind the top table.

One of my favourite times of the day are when we get to photograph just the bride and groom. It allows a little time out and a little time to shoot some stunning images of just the two of them. It was later in the day so the sun had dropped slightly and the light was really amazing just filtering through the trees. In just a few short minutes we had loads of fantastic images with loads of variety and lots of great images to remember the day.

The journey from beginning to end with Kylie and Paul has been such a pleasure.
