A beautiful day for a stunning couple to be married at the lovely Sandburn Hall.
It was an early one this morning and I was on the road bound for Malton to capture the bridal preparations of the lovely Andrea and her bride’s squad. The bride’s squad (they all had bride’s squad personalized dressing gowns which looked awesome!) were busy making confetti cups and helping each other get ready and everyone was very excited. After spending 5 minutes with the girls I knew this wedding was going to be really good fun to photograph. With the superb spirit of the morning safely in the bag it was quickly over to the beautiful venue of Sandburn Hall. When I arrived the majority of the guests had already been seated and the registrars were waiting for the bride downstairs by the entrance.
Sandburn Hall boasts the very impressive Oak framed grand function hall which is amazing as it sounds and with the sun flooding in through the large windows it made for the perfect backdrop. Nick was pacing and chatting to guests along with his bestman and brother Dom. Andrea arrived and looked so amazing wearing a Sophia Tolli gown and with beautiful Sarah Elizabeth florals looked breathtaking. A beautiful ceremony was to follow with a lovely reading from Andrea’s sister and a passionate first kiss between the bride and groom. We ended the ceremony with an impromptu but fantastic confetti shot as both Andrea and Nick walked away down the aisle together which seemed the perfect note to end the ceremony on.
With the speeches almost over Andrea brought to everyone’s attention the colourful alcoholic shots they had alongside the place names. With a brilliant synchronicity the whole top table downed them almost all at the same time, one of many quirky and fun touches they had both created.
The evening brought a lively dance floor from the get go which didn’t relent all night. More entertainment was provided with a fun photo booth which took a few moments for people to investigate but soon had a queue of people waiting to get snapped. I think I got a bit too close at one point as I got dragged in with a group and ended up having my picture taken with them!
I thoroughly enjoyed capturing your day for you both and it really was an honour!
