This York Marriott wedding is stunning and what a great venue for Amy and Alan’s wedding. The sun is shining and it’s a very warm day so a very lucky bride and groom to be celebrating in such lovely weather.
It’s been a long time since I’ve visited the Marriott in York and it looks so beautiful today with their large gardens being the jewel in the hotels crown. They’re lovely and plush full of colour and with a great vista looking out over to York Racecourse. The gardens are also where Amy and Alan are enjoying their ceremony and saying their ‘I do’s’ in the lovely little gazebo at the bottom of the garden watched on by all their family and friends.
When I arrived on the day and went up to meet with the girls in their room I caught a quick shot of the guys enjoying a full English breakfast in the sun and they all seemed very relaxed and chilled. To be fair so were the girls as the atmosphere in the room was very laid back and they were just finishing up with hair and make up and having a glass of bubbly with a strawberry or two. Then it was back downstairs with the guests arriving and being greeted by Alan and his brothers all looking extremely smart in their matching three piece navy suits and all adorning personalized engraved time pieces. All through out the gardens there were lovely touches with flowers and hearts and messages placed everywhere. After the group shots we snuck off with Amy and Alan for their shots in and around the gardens and explored some great little nooks and spots to get the romance flowing and their was a lot of love in the air even if we did have a little gathering of family and friends that joined us in our walk but it didn’t put them off at all as they were totally into each other!
The day went so quickly and we were soon into the evening celebrations and the first dance that was only beaten on the night by some amazing moves shown by Amy and Alan’s Niece, Lilly. Her flips and spins were truly acrobatic and I couldn’t shoot fast enough they were coming so quickly!
It was such a pleasure to capture the day for them and have the pleasure of meeting all their family and friends whom were all warm, friendly and a joy to be with.
Congratulations to a lovely couple and best wishes for the future.
