One of my favorite wedding venues has to be the Hospitium in York set in the beautiful museum gardens. Not only because it’s b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l, but I happened to marry my lovely wife here last year as well.
When I arrived it was raining quite a lot but I noticed Kirsty had bought at least 20 cool looking umbrellas just in case it persisted through out the day. Having studied the weather report for the day I was relying on it drying out about 6pm and even some sunshine, an unlikely prospect looking up into the sky’s at 1pm. Kirsty looked incredible and arrived in a classic Rolls Royce car with her bridesmaids all dressed in red to greet her with their umbrellas.
The service was a lovely personal occasion and they both looked so happy together. They had both admitted to being die hard fans of the tv show, Game of Thrones. This meant lots of little details related to it, including broaches on the guys suits and cuff links. They even had music from the show through out their wedding breakfast! As the wedding breakfast was coming to an end and true to what was promised the clouds parted and the sun shone in abundance! So good as it meant we were able to have a walk round the grounds and down by the river as the sun set producing a lovely golden light which looked stunning in the photographs. Kirsty and James were more than happy to have a walk up to the abbey as well to continue their couple shots.
As the evening do approached all the guests were in great spirits and fully enjoying the night. The first dance for the bride and groom brought an end to a day that went so quickly it was untrue.
Congratulations to Kirsty and James it was a pleasure to be part of your special day!
