“Thanks Ben, these are great. And thank you again for everything on our wedding day. “
2016 continues to be an amazing year of fantastic weddings and today’s was no exception for Laura and Dan’s wonderful day.
Arriving at the Royal York Hotel this morning to photograph the preparation of bride to be Laura and her bridesmaids. The atmosphere was calm as the girls were getting ready and enjoying a few glasses of Champagne whilst hair and make up was being finished. They all looked lovely and comfortable in their matching brilliant white dressing gowns having just finished a lovely fruity breakfast. With detail shots captured and time whistling away it was time to get into dresses and capture some photographs of our stunning bridal party. All the girls looked ridiculously fabulous especially Laura in her vintage inspired and intricately patterned white gown.
It was a hop skip and a jump over the river Ouse to The Hospitium for the ceremony and to meet up with the groomsmen and all the guests. Most of the guests had been seated and the father of the bride was awaiting his daughters arrival to walk her down the aisle. There were a few spots of rain but with an umbrella awaiting and Laura safely at the venue there were a few pre ceremony words with the registrar and then the music begun. Dan looked extremely happy to have Laura in his arms after the ‘I do’s’ and with the formalities now all over it was time to relax and catch up with all their close friends and family. Everyone seemed like a really close group of friends from all different moments in Laura and Dan’s lives such as school, University and Sports. This was definitely the case when it came to Luke and his best man’s speech. Some very funny stories revealed made all the more funnier with great delivery! Only to be upstaged by a moving video message projected onto the big screen from Dan’s absent best friend now living abroad. It’s moments like these that make weddings so wonderful to be able to share with people.
As the evening approached and the sun disappeared the only thing left to do was PARTY! With a packed dance floor and drinks flowing the evening entertainment ‘Wired Duo’ were tearing it up and sounding great. I think if everyone had their way it would of been an ‘all nighter’…even for Gran!
It was a blast and thank you for having me and congratulations on an amazing future together.
